I strive to be a leader who inspires others through education, motivation and mentorship. Life continues to give me multiple lessons that I hope to pass on to others, on and off the court.

Team success has come from self-discipline and doing the right thing at the right time. Forward thinking and proactive planning has led to the development of several multi-faceted teams.

Team preparation involves technical and tactical focus with structured practice which results in teams with confidence and game readiness. I have been blessed with real world experience with FIBA, IOC, NCAA and NJCAA. These experiences drive my motivation and passion to continue my dream working with the game.

I believe that respect is the foundation of great coaches and success is non-existent without it. Mutual respect is essential for high-level performance, building championship teams and a worldwide networking system.

Season Wrap
This 2009-2010 Basketball Season in Qatar ended on a high note. After being in the Finals in 4 consecutive cups over the past two seasons we really had high expectations for this season. There were several off-season transactions that hurt our chances of a repeat. The loss of 3 starters and members of Qatar’s National Basketball Team in off-season transactions put us in a very difficult situation all season long. However, my team, Qatar Sports Club, rallied in the Emir Cup to make an appearance in the semi-finals. We ended up losing to the eventual Champions Al Gharaffa Club in a 5 game series. Our players fought hard and battled to the end, until we simply ran out of gas. After playing 7 games in 11 days with a much depleted bench, we just could not match up with the strong team that Gharaffa had on the floor. It is worth noting that the management of Al Gharaffa Club was able to sign two of my team’s starters off my team from last year and did a great job assembling a championship team this year. This season was filled with ups and downs, but it will be remembered by how my players and I were resilient and persevered in the most difficult of circumstances and we did it together. We earned wins over teams that were much better and had a bench full of players for practice and games. Qatar Sports Club was the only team in the league without any players from the Qatar National Team and we had victories over every team in Qatar this season; including league champs-Al Rayyan, Heir-Apparent Cup Champions-Army, and Emir Cup Champions-Al Gharaffa. Two of my local players Adel and Ghraib deserve as much credit as anyone else on the team as they had major contributions. With that said, I cannot give enough credit to my import players that were with us all season Maurice Hargrow (University of Minnesota) - Gaston Moliva (University of Richmond) - Henry Olawoye (University of Delaware) - Waki Williams (University of Memphis) - Oumar Seck (Senegal). There were several people who came to help us during practice and were scout team players that deserve credit for their time and energy throughout the season, and yes, they made a difference. I would like to personally thank everyone for their support of me, my players and the entire team this past season.

Ganon Baker

Ganon Baker, Skills Trainer
	This past week, I had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Ganon Baker. You would be hard pressed to find a better skills guy than him anywhere in the world. Ganon is on a Middle Eastern tour sharing his knowledge and development of the game to basketball talent in Lebanon, Jordan, and most recently here in Qatar. He is also planning a second trip later on in March to Turkey and Kuwait. For those of you that know him, you understand his dedication, discipline, and will to motivate and develop players into all-star talent at all levels. I can truly say, that I feel lucky to have spent time with him, share stories, as well as become a fan and a friend. He is a very impressionable person with a good heart as well as one of the best skills trainers in the industry. I look forward to spending more time with him in the future. Maurice Hargrow

Maurice Hargrow
	Playing like the true veteran he is, Maurice Hargrow is again the Best All-Around Player in the Qatar Basketball League. Each and every night you get his best on both ends of the floor as he is the focus of every opponent's scouting report. After 9 games this season, Maurice is leading scorers with 27 points per game including a season high 41 against Al Ahli Club. He also is averaging over 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals per contest. Maybe this is the year that NBA teams will start listening to me and get this kid signed into a camp. If someone will open the door for him, he will make any roster of any team in the league. Once they see what I see him do in and out of practice everyday and how he manages himself on and off the court, I promise you, they will not cut him. He is a leader in every aspect of the game and life. The people close to me know that I would hate to see him go but, after the improvements he has made here the last 2 and half years, he deserves a second shot of making a NBA roster. Qatar Basketball Season
As I begin my 3rd season as the Coach of Qatar Sports Club (4th season in Qatar) my goals are set very high. However, leading my team to the playoffs of the League, and returning to the Finals of both the Heir Apparent Cup and the Emir Cup for the 3rd straight season is going to be really hard. Winning a Gold Cup this year is likely out of reach with some of the rule changes the Qatar Basketball Federation has in place for some of the teams. Those rule changes certainly benefit 3 teams including Army, Al Gharraffa Club, and Al Wakrah. Starting over again this year will be the toughest challenge I have faced as a coach. I was able to do it last year with the return of Maurice Hargrow (University of Minnesota) and with the addition of Gaston Moliva (University of Richmond). But this year, presents a different challenge. Our club has had a difficult time re-signing and coming to terms with four players. 2 of Qatar's National Team Players, a long time veteran of our club, and a key role player for us off the bench. These FOUR players were key to our teams success last season and with them we would have been a power house again. We are now without them, and it no doubt is going to be a long season. You can only imagine the results if any team were to lose FOUR key players, 3 of them being starters...

Coach Anderson Reunion

Coach Anderson Blugold Reunion
	EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - What a WONDERFUL event honoring Coach Anderson. It was great being home for this and once again I feel fortunate for being apart of a very special group of Teammates and Alumni from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Coach Anderson had a unique relationship with all of us players, his staff, and the fans. No doubt he has made an impact on all of us and for me, I will be always thankful for playing for one of the most successful coaches in college basketball. Players from the 27 UW-Eau Claire men's basketball teams coached by Ken Anderson from 1968 through 1995 were in attendance. www.uwec.edu/alumni/PhotoAlbum/gatherings/2009/2009%201968-1995%20Basketball%20Reunion.htm Coach Anderson ranks among the all-time coaching greats in college basketball for winning percentage alongside Adolph Rupp and John Wooden. During his 27-year Blugold career, he posted a 631-152 record (.806 winning percentage) with 14 Wisconsin State University Conference championships and 15 trips to the NAIA Nationals in Kansas City. Two times (1972 and 1990) the Blugolds played for a national championship and three other times reached the final four. Players from the 1972 national runner-up team attended as well as players from the other NAIA national teams of 1970, 1971, 1974, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992.

FIBA Sanctioned Coaching Clinic
	My good friend Faik Ersoy, http://www.utopiaturk.com/main_images/clinic/INTBASCOACHINGCLINIC2009%20ANT-TUR.pdf invited me back to Turkey for this coaching clinic. It was a great clinic with a variety of guest speakers that provided a wealth of knowledge to the international game of basketball. The Turkey Basketball Federation is gearing up to host the 2010 World Championships and this is just one of the many ways they are promoting the game. The atmosphere was loaded with basketball coaches, colleagues, and friends associated with the international game. I would like to thank the Turkish Basketball Federation for providing such an excellent clinic over the years. The Turkish poeple are wonderful hosts and they love the game of basketball.
